The Digital Frontier within Islamic Education: Research Gaps Overview in Digital Competence Mussa Saidi Abubakari *Mussa Saidi Abubakari* is a Postgraduate student at Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Institute of Education, Universiti Brunei Darussalam, expected to graduate in August 2025. Before this, in 2022, he used to be an instructor in the Department of Physics and Mathematics at Kondoa Islamic Secondary School, Tanzania. His academic and research interests include educational technology, technology-enhanced learning, technology acceptance, open and distance (online) learning, and digital competence, among others.
