Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The article manuscript adheres to the format, stylistic and bibliographic requirements. Please download Manuscript Submission Template (Microsoft Word *.docx)
  • The journal uses double-blind review process. Do not include authors' Name/Affiliation in the manuscript.
    Leave the Acknowledgement section blank for initial manuscript submission.
  • The manuscript must be free from Plagiarism and the author must run the manuscript article through TurnItIn and Ouriginal. The similarity index must be at most 20% (if using TurnItIn/Ouriginal, you can only exclude Bibliography, Small Matches and Institutional Repository)
  • The author must agree to submit plagiarism report of their submitted article. The report can be generated from TurnItIn and Ouriginal.
  • The submission has not been previously published or submitted in any publications.
  • The author(s) must not submit the manuscript elsewhere while it is under consideration at JCRINN. If in doubt, please contact jcrinn@uitm.edu.my

Author Guidelines

Manuscript Submission Guidelines

Manuscripts must be submitted electronically using CRINN online submission system. Manuscript submitted through other means such as e-mail will not be processed. The manuscripts must be formatted according to the article paper submission template as outlined below.

The manuscript may be up to 10,000 words (or 20 pages, hard limit)  including abstract, tables, figures, references and main text. Manuscript below this limit are preferable.

Declaring Conflicts of Interest and Funding Source

Authors should disclose their research funding sources, linkage, membership or relationships with organization or instititution that might potentially influence the objectivity of a publication. The corresponding author is responsible for providing a declaration on behalf of all authors.

In case of authors with no conflict of interest, the corresponding author should explicitly state that in the article using the following sentence :

"The authors have no conflicts of interest to declare that are relevant to the content of this article."

"All authors certify that they have no affiliations with or involvement in any organization or entity with any financial interest or non-financial interest in the subject matter or materials discussed in this manuscript."

 

Declaration of Authors Contributions

JCRINN requires that all authors take responsibility for the content of the work submitted for review. The contributions of each author must be described using "CRediT author statement" in the accepted manuscript to ensure accountability. 

Corresponding Author's Role

Each article is only permitted to have only one "Corresponding Author".

The "Corresponding Author" is responsible for the accuracy of the metadata of all authors entered on the journal platform. The Corresponding Author also takes responsibility for possible typos or incorrect author data (e.g., misspelt names, incorrect affiliations). The Corresponding Author must be contactable via email by the journal staff, use a working institutional email address, and respond promptly.

 

Article Licensing, Copyright Policy and Publishing Rights

The authors retain copyright of their own article/manuscript. However, upon acceptance for publication, the author(s) must grant unrestricted publication rights to the journal publisher, not limited to the terms of Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International

 

Submission Fees and Charges

This journal does not require submission fees, processing fees nor any charges.

 

Plagiarism Policy

All works in the manuscript should be free of any plagiarism, falsification, fabrication, or omission of significant material. Authors are required to submit plagiarism report generated by Ouriginal or TurnitIn only. The similarity index must be at most 20%.

 

Authors are expected to explicitly cite others' work and ideas, even if the work or ideas are not quoted exactly or paraphrased. Self-plagiarism can occur in at least two ways:

  1. Authors recycle portions of their previous writings by using identical or nearly identical sentences or paragraphs from earlier writings in subsequent research papers, without quotation or acknowledgement; or
  2. Authors create multiple papers that are slight variations of each other, which are submitted for publication in different journals but without acknowledgement of the other papers.

Editorial Policies

The authors must ensure any articles submitted to JCRINN are not published elsewhere and are not under consideration by any other journals. The content of the articles must be original and not result of plagiarism or in copyright violation from other works. The Editors reserve the right to reject any articles which do not meet the required quality.

JCRINN does not permit the use of author-suggested reviewers and the journal's editors are not obliged to invite any recommended/opposed reviewers to assess manuscripts.
